This would be hard to do anyway without power and access to ice. I decapitate, enough said, it's the quickest and during an emergency time this will probably be the best option. Just 12 miles from Riverton, CA, the campground offers hiking, biking, jet skiing and fishing. Ponderosa pine is a pleasing part of the surrounding region. The trees fill the air with a vanilla aroma and it's the tallest known pine tree in the country. To date, the tallest Ponderosa measured was an impressive 268. 35 feet tall. Amenities include a picnic area, drinking water faucets, vault toilets and a dump station. Firewood is sold on-site and a nearby resort offers a restaurant, gas and limited groceries. At the RV-only campsite area, there is a shared cooking area with tables and grills. This is the only place those staying in the area may grill. Need to Know Campground has first-come, first-served sites. First Come First Serve sites remain listed as FF for the entire season. They will not show occupied as the status of these sites is ever changing. You must be on site at the campground to claim a FF site.
I grouped up with a Dodge Avenger in Arkansas. He had Tennessee tags and seemed to have the same idea I did; to get the hell away from the next wave of winter weather. I-40 was great, and I applaud the people that cleared it. The exits were a different story. A number of times I passed by a perfectly fine gas station just because the exit looked questionable. Finely, my bladder made up my choice. The Honda handled the snow and slush perfectly. Coming from a rear wheel drive car, the Civics front wheel drive might as well have been AWD. I checked into a hotel in Memphis at around 8 P. The Civic looked nice from my room window but I half expected I'd have to dig it out come the next morning. The chances of winter weather were high but I never saw anything upon my easy 7 A. departure. The whole trip I thought I had no windshield washer fluid. I resorted in using a water bottle to clean the salt from the windshield. I spent every stop trying to find a bottle of fluid to no avail. Turns out I had plenty in the reservoir.
